Hazel’s is actively involved in giving back to the local communities in which it operates.
Hazel’s contributes in three primary ways:
Hazel’s Hot Shot Charitable Fund
Hazel’s maintains a Charitable Fund with the Communities Foundation of Texas (www.cftexas.org).Funding comes from Hazel’s Employees and Drivers who opt to contribute via payroll deductions. Hazel’s matches all contributions at 100% and also makes annual donations to the Fund. Funds are disbursed to a variety of local charities based on employee suggestions.
Corporate Activities
Hazel’s employees contribute their time and effort to volunteer activities during business hours by participating in community service projects organized by Entrepreneurs for North Texas (www.efnt.org), Neighborhood Centers of Houston (www.neighborhood-centers.org), PEP- Prisoner Entrepreneurship Program (www.pep.org), and the Boys & Girls Club of Dallas (bgcdallas.org).
